I finally, finally, got myself a shiny shinx. It only took several years, hundreds of eggs and shinx hunting, a shiny luxray(found a luxray, felt cheated for some reason, kept going), three+ games, and a special outbreak to get one. No big deal.
Her name is Luma.
(oh, yeah. My sister also gifted me one for Christmas. Which means she also got one before me.)
