Eri is wearing a mimikyu inspired outfit because when she was in the real world she would mask her true self to make friends and please Yumi. She would rather be someone completely different than be herself
Kanashī's outfit is inspired by Baynet (think thats how you spell it) because she is a basically a puppet or a toy for the king's plans but then disregarded by him
Since Eri is like a Mimikyu she would say to people
We are friends or I hope we are…
