Prologue by Meowys-Stories
The wind blew softly during the warmth of greenleaf. A cat with sandy-gold fur sat perched outside her den, starring into the vast majority of the stars.
"Leafbare will be upon us soon," she murmured.
"Goldenstar! Goldenstar!" A shrill meow peirced the silence.
Goldenstar turned around quickly, to see a black tom with white paws calling her name. His bright blue eyes were big and full of fear and grief.

"Whitefoot, what's wrong?" Goldenstar meowed.
"A cat broke into the nursery! We can't detect any clan sent but Dappletail sent me to-" He was unable to finish because Goldenstar was rushing as fast as she could to the nursery. Goldenstar arrived to see blood spattered on the ground and clumps of fur blowing in the wind, but most of the clan stood near the nursery.

"Is everyone ok?"
Most of the cats replied with a soft mew, but a hiss from the back of the crowd alarmed Goldenstar.
"Gingercloud has been k!lled!"
Goldenstar kicked up dirt as she ran towards the dead cat. She sat down, grief swarming her lavender eyes.
"Who would do this," she murmured to herself, sharing tongues with the dead cat one last time. Then she turned to her clan, her eyes hazy with grief, and meowed, "Gingercloud had three kits! We must split up and find them!"

Goldenstar sniffed the nursery, picking up scents of kits and blood.
"Goldenstar!"
Goldenstar pricked her ears and opened her mouth slightly, she reconized the scent as Spottedfur's.
"We found two of the kits, but Rosekit is missing."
Goldenstar padded out to look up at the sky full of stars.
"Oh starclan help us"
