As someone who grew up with some iconic one-eyed characters, I have to say your character #HaraMomji is quite cute and cool! How did you come up with her? Does she have a backstory or any important lore? Why does she wear an eyepatch? Did she lose an eye in a duel or in some sort of accident? Was she inspired by other eyepatch wearing characters?

Do you ever get burnt out from drawing too much? How do you handle creative burnout?

I'm Ohinasan. Please call me Ohina or Hina. 0173 is a pun in Japanese and can be read as "Ohinasan." I’m a Japanese student.

(2)Inspiration
When I was little, I dreamed of becoming an actress or model, so I collected model magazines and fashionable clothes.The models have many ideas to bring out their best features. For example, gaze, facial expression, pose, etc. Maybe I picked up the compositional skills and art style from looking at so many of those photos.

(3)The beginning of an artistic journey
My mother loved to draw, and I tried to emulate her from an early age. So I've been drawing ever since I was a child.

(4)My favourite art
Paintings selected for Colors News! I'm convinced it's the best one I've ever done. I'm always conscious of increasing the "resolution" and "amount of information" in my arts. Let me give you an example,notice her hand touching the eyepatch. Can you see the faint of an eyepatch string beneath her thumb? This plays an important role in bringing out the depth of the painting. I also created gradations without using an airbrush and added small strands of hair. In this way, attention to detail makes for a beautiful art. I always struggle to pay attention to these things.

This was a gift given to me the other day. I was particular about writing Momiji in pink all the time, but Momiji she drew was colorful and pop. By looking it, I was able to discover a new charm of Momiji!

I saw Colors Live at the Nintendo Shop and bought it. What I like about Colors Live is that it allows me to easily interact with people from overseas. I'm sure there are lots of ideas for new features from users, but I'm happy with the current functionality.

(8)The key to coming up with a composition for a painting
Fear of change should be avoided. On the contrary, it is important to continue to pursue possibilities and encounter many ideas. It is important to be exposed to many ideas and enrich the idea box in your memory.

My name in kanji is "雛". This means "Girl's Festival" and "(as cute as) a chick." The name Hina is popular in Japan, but there are not many people with the same kanji as me. This may be because people have an image of it being Japanese and old-fashioned. But I love this kanji!

Will you be starting a new semester in September? In Japan, the new school term begins in April. So I'll be a high school student soon !(^^)!
