custom brushes have been tested, and the pc beta testers can work with some of that, but it's currently very basic. So custom brushes that behave more expressive, like stroke-randomness and tilt-awareness, or even basic following the brush direction, which is important to use custom brushes properly, it needs code that was currently too complicated for Jens. It's probably somewhere in the middle of priorities of the to-do list :O Colorslive is just a small team , we need more back-end for all the suggested features! :D
ha thanks! and Im curious why you're enthusianstic about tracing, you are great with sketching the right proportrions , and did you see the new Grid layer mod? I think that is fun to use for the reference to line up. For some of my portraits I already was using to grid from the pixel brush to show and hide during sketching.
and I think in the future a new layer mod for 'Hue' will be the ultimate layer-mod, it's still on the to-do. It could revolutionize the art and optimize your work! :D
@madwurmz while i may get the proportions right sometimes it upsets me its too far to what im referencing, tracing does the easy job. i have yet to try the grid layer mod its an art technique i havent tried yet. want to try that soon
@vynxpung that should be possible! I think we could adjust the workflow to make the best use of it. For example work with sepearate copies of the grey layer to create full color image. the Hue menu mockups are simple but that looks promissing, but it's not yet ready to be tested.
