Aww, hey. D: You should stay. You're an amazing artist! The amount of stars you get has nothing to do with anything. I usually barely make five stars, but stuff like that shouldn't matter. If you enjoy drawing, keep doing it. :) We won't get any better if we stop and say, "I can't."

Ive been giving it some thought ... i may come back after seeing my progress ... but i still need that one little push *smiles*

dude, its been said before, but i'll say it again.. a true artist doesnt draws for others pleasure, a true artist draws as an outlet for expressing their soul, their emotion, whatever it is you feel inside, express that through your art. just for you, nobody else. and if the emotion is real, you can feel it just by looking at the piece, and then others will like.
on a side note, the colours system isnt exactly set up in the most efficient way, you only get to see the most recently uploaded pics, and the ones deemed most popular, plus the ones youve liked previously. but theres no search function or any ways of tagging pics, so until they update for that, getting likes is simply a matter of posting when most people are on. plus you can always make one of those 'please like original' pics to draw more people into your gallery, and get more likes for the one you want.

I started out on hatena with three favorites and five stars(sometimes less) despite the time, effort, and persistance I put into my animations. As I went, I got better, and the fans and stars followed(thirty something fans, usualy fifteen-twenty stars at least)... and then I lost my DSI. They haven't made it available on the threeDS so all of that work and recognition- gone with the person who took my DSI. I haven't given up though, and I will continue to animate even if no one can see it on inchworm animation until they finnaly finnish the 'hatena memo' or I lose intrest.
