Never trust a leprechaun... by AtomicNomic

Here's a story my dad told me once...

A man, told tales about a leprechaun's gold, sets off to capture one, so he can take its gold.

He succeeds, tying it up. The leprechaun admits defeat, marking where its gold is with a stick.

The man returns gleefully home, in search of a shovel. But alas, when he returns, the field has hundreds upon hundreds of sticks driven into the ground, the leprechaun nowhere to be seen. Funny story, no?

Also, apparently, leprechauns used to be depicted wearing red?! I thought that was interesting, so I drew th leprechaun in red clothes :p

In some versions of the story, the man sells the handkerchiefs that were tied to the sticks and starts a really successful handkerchief shop.
