Start with something small

Wanna make a comic?

Don't try to make a story that will line a bookshelf
Start with a oneshot that can stand on it's own and see how it's received

Make an animatic?

Try something that takes 30 seconds instead of a full-blown song

Fill your sketchbook faster?

Get a smaller sketchbook or something like that

It makes it faster to finish and less disappointing if you drop out at some point because there's less stuff to abandon
