Ten years ago, a shy child joined an art community that they never knew would or even could change their life in any way. But after that first piece of art shared, they never looked back.
Ten years ago, my mother, an amazing artist by the handle of @Alysathena (go check her out!) introduced me to the Colors! community, downloading the app on my first tablet and creating an account for me. I was excited, but also a little scared. I had never shared my art with anyone outside of my family (cont.)

I looked at the gallery and thought, 'How could I ever compare?' But, with some encouragement, I posted that first horrible drawing. And I kept drawing. And I kept learning. And I slowly opened up and began to interact with this amazing community of artists like me that I never even knew existed. Slowly, I found courage, and confidence, and even friendship. I learned so much from every artist I met. I began to grow as both an artist and a person.
Ten years later, I am still growing. And I have never stopped being grateful for the people I have met and the lessons I have learned and the kindness I have been shown. I never knew so many people could ever appreciate my art or me, and I certainly never thought I would progress to the point I am at now! These ten years have been so amazing, and they have flown by. It is amazing to see how Colors has evolved over the course of time, just like I have. Here's to ten more!
