No, I wasn't lazy. Plague's the last child in the pure-blood Morose tribe, a clan of (please feel free to correct me ^^) vampires called Tikwi, who split themselves in half to feed and who were the first of the 5 houses to be hunted down in the monster burnings.

The 5 houses are the Morose (Tikwi), the Drugle (Ent/Fae), the Scael (Sirens), the Scritch (Zombies/Ghouls) and the Banes (Werewolves/Kitsune). Due to the bloodlust the Morose and Banes were hunted out except for a few survivors. A Tikwi can be defeated by salting the lower half, so it can't return at daybreak and re-fuse.
