HAPPY 1 YEAR !! :confetti_ball: What are some techniques that you learned this past year and also from your parents ? ^u^

@PineappleChan_ TY!! thats a lovely question, id say that i learned how to correctly "exaggerate" things more, for example my Good Omens drawing at the time was something i was proud of, now not so much. i have learned to pay attention to what makes a person unique, such as features that are signature to them, etc. i see a lot of things that i would change about it now. i am only scratching the surface of the details on what i've learned that changes a drawing drastically in subtle, or big ways!

I could go on and on, but in short for the others, avoiding parallel lines (as much as i can catch), coloring techniques, framing (still working on that one), expressions, more dynamic poses/body shape language, and many other things that i dont even notice when i draw now compared to back then!! :DD

@PineappleChan_ ofc!! and another thing that ive learned to keep in mind is no matter how much i dislike/want to get rid of a drawing, i remember not to since it can be such a time capsule of what i remember at that time, good memories or bad yknow :]]

@Nye_Guy thats so touching for me to hear from you, i mean that. i almost gave up my art journey for many reasons, most frequently not being good enough, or living up to a "high standard". i now inspire myself to go and learn at my own pace because i WANT to, not to satisfy anybody but myself. so thank you, really!! :]

oh yeah I understand that completely, I'm glad you kept going with your art journey! otherwise none of us would be able to see all the masterpiece's you've created :]

@FrenchToast it still never fully registers with me when someone really loves my art :sob: i never know what to say cause its SO beautiful to me, all my life i've just been used to drawing stuff without posting it, or drawing for family gifts. colors is my first attempt to posting my work and im still not used to it  you have been so sweet and kind to me, toast!! thank you ever so much for your support! :]]

aah im so late sorry! :0 congrats on ur anniversary!!! ur art always makes my day and is a big inspiration to me :D ! i love how expressive your art is, and the way you use colors!! ur artstyle is so unique!!! im curious, did you have any specific inspiration(s) for your artstyle, or did it come natural? congrats again !! :D

@Merph_ no worries!! thats so flippin' sweet of you :sob: i'd say that my MAIN inspiration is my mom, she has this Don Bluth/ golden age Disney style, yet at the same time is SO unique, i have never met an artist as brilliant as her, and im not saying that just cause she's my mom lol. many other artists that i follow on ig, tumblr and mainly youtube are great inspirations to me as well! being Worthikids, Joel G, vewn, speedoru, sodikken, Karl Hadrika, Gooseworx, and Deadly Comics. I was a sketch-only person before Colors!, and i saw the beauty in pencil-test animation rather than the final finishec movie. I never thought i'd really be great with coloring or ever finding the want to color, that is until i found this artist youtuber, Torriku Sotaru, which i was AMAZED by the exotic use of colors, then only about a year later i found Colors! only then to decide that i would try fully finishing my art. :]] thank you SO much for your question aaa!!!
