...Smol deer boy supposes he could wish you a happy Valentine's day, if you leave him alone.
(This was really just an excuse for me to draw a cute chibi Alastor.
I've also come to realize I celebrate Valentine's day more than any other holiday. Which is...pretty ironic.)

what is it that you like about this character? i'm curious! :0

@PoodleKingdom I just think he's neat. :)
And I think he's interesting... The premise of the show is to get sinners (in hell) to redeem themselves and ascend into heaven, if said redemption is even possible... Alastor is one of those sinners. But his sins are far worse than many others in that he was a serial k!ller when he was alive... It's curious to see if his actions can be forgiven or not, in this version of heaven and hell.
Personally, I don't think he can be redeemed. I don't even know if he SHOULD be redeemed, given the severity of his actions... But I think the show is somewhat leaning towards the redemption side, since one sinner was already forgiven and rose to heaven... Though, it's also very likely that he'll remain in hell.
Another reason I like him is because he's a funny guy. And I think his deer attributes are cute. :)

Crud. I shoulda put a spoiler warning in there... Sorry to anyone who read the comment above and didn't watch the show yet. :(

@PoodleKingdom I'd also like to point out that, while I enjoy him as a character, I don't like him as a person and I don't condone his sins.

Awwwww! Alastor, will you be my Valentines? (Though it's 9 days past)
24 Feb, 2024, 4:19 pm
sounds like ya got mixed feelings about this guy? :'D but i'm glad you like him too? he's very colorful!! :P
24 Feb, 2024, 4:21 pm
if he changes his ways and abandons his "old self" then I think he can be redeemable? :'3

my sister jessica says she doesn't like the series becuase of the art style but I thought the style was fine! :0

@AlastorNation910 Sorry to break your heart, but that man's an ace in the hole. Better luck asking someone else. XD
@PoodleKingdom Yeahhhh... I changed his colors here to look more Valentine-y, though. He's usually a lot more red.
Hmmmm... Poodles, you're religious, what do you think? Can a serial k!ller go to heaven if he changes his ways, or "abandons his old self" as you put it?
The art style isn't for everyone, but it grows on you. If you've watched a lot of western cartoons growing up, then it probably doesn't bother you. But if you enjoy more detailed cartoons (such as anime), then the style might irk you a little... That being said, everything else is great. The story's interesting, the characters are good, and the music is excellent. There's not anything to really hate, imo. (Though, I have seen religious folks hate on it because it isn't biblically accurate, but...keep in mind it's a work of fiction. It doesn't have to be biblically accurate.)

@mewsea well I like the colors you chose here! I do like the color red but it pixelates very easily on colors so it's tricky to work with! ! xO

I believe it is possible, murder is a sin that blasphems man.(yaa I can't spell) It can be forgiven but the damages done will not go away. I learned this in a sermon once. You must make peace with those who you took this person away from, and also to never return back to commiting said sin "turn away from it" it's not very easy though that's for sure. '.__. but death is not the end either. It's a step forward to potential eternal life with God. . ya know day of judgment and all that good stuff. :'D but if alastor turned his back on his wicked ways and repented he may be saved! :D ooooooof, sorry about that, I don't normally talk about stuff like that but i'm glad ya asked! :P I beleive their is only one sin you can't be forgiven of and it's a bit complicated > x <

I do like cartoons! :3 I like cartoon and anime styles! :D
27 Feb, 2024, 9:45 pm
thats ok! it's a show for entertainment so it doesn't need to be accurate! :T
27 Feb, 2024, 9:48 pm
I think you might really like the disgaea series! :3 it has to do with heaven and the nether world too! where can you watch the show from? netflix ? hulu?
28 Feb, 2024, 12:00 am
@PoodleKingdom It all pixelates, but it's less noticeable with softer colors. I've been experimenting with a lot of vibrant colors lately, and - although I do like the colors - I don't like how they pixelate when uploading them to the gallery.
Ooooh, okay! Very interesting! So, there's hope for Alastor yet. I know the directors of the show can do whatever they want, regardless of religious accuracy, but it's also nice to see it be true in the real world.
I feel that, if I were in Alastor's shoes, I would never be able to forgive myself, and would probably spend the rest of my life repenting for my sins.
So! What is this one, irredemable sin you speak of? I'm curious!
Disgaea? Is it an anime? :0 Hazbin Hotel is on Amazon Prime. But you can watch the pilot episode on YouTube. It's really more like a first episode. But a few things change between the pilot and the literal first episode.

It's best to forgive yourself and let go, put all your struggles, frustrations, and all things troubling you on to God with thanks giving and prayer. As followers of Jesus we struggle with sin all the time. No one is perfect, and its a constant spiritual battle. Even if we are disciples that doesn't make us more superior than everyone else. We know that we are sinners and we Want to be saved. When we except Jesus christ as our lord and savior that means we put our trust onto God and we are saved through faith in him. We are not saved by our works. Our job as disciples of Jesus is to preach about the gospel and push people towards Jesus, then we let God do his work in them. That person can decide weather to except or reject the gift of salvation. We do not have the power to save them only God has the power to do that.

The unforgivable sin is blasphemy against God. I believe if I remember right Jesus was accused of blasphemy before? But I know he was falsely accused and died an innocent man. Blasphemy against God is when you reject God and his gift of salvation for you. On the day of jugement the atheist will be faced with two choices. Either you acknowledge God and reject him with all your heart mind and strength "or" you acknowledge God and except the gift of salvation. So I believe even atheists have a chance of redemption even at last minute! I also believe that those who have committed suicide can also be saved too! Even to those who where not baptized yet! I'll be getting baptized on Easter! :3 I can understand why people tend to stray away from faith in God because of how judgmental Christians can be. We have to remember why we became disiples in the first place instead of jumping to quick judgment on our fellow man. We are not their judge, God is. So Christians lose sight of their true goal which is seek out and guide the lost. Make disciples and baptize.

04 Mar, 2024, 4:20 pm
@PoodleKingdom I see! God is a very forgiving man, it would seem. Even more forgiving than me!
Then... What about you, Poodles? Would YOU forgive a serial k!ller if he turned his back on his wicked ways?
@lycario_ Lol! Sorry about that. XD
Feel free to butt in if you want!
05 Mar, 2024, 8:43 pm
oh?? are ya not very forgiving :'P condeming someoene is like condeming one's self. u m u
-
that's a tricky quastion but very intresting. :'D I guess it depends on how dedicated they are towards repentance. . "out with the old self and in with the new self"
22 Mar, 2024, 2:05 pm
@PoodleKingdom I forgive people easily, but I'm harder on myself... I'm trying to work on that.
With murd3r, though... I don't know. It's a lot harder to judge. I think I could forgive a fictional character because I could see their development in the story, but... In real life, I'd distance myself from the person before they had a chance to prove they could be a better person.
Sometimes characters have inner monologue, too, so you know exactly what they're thinking... I think that would help me to decide if I could forgive them or not as well.
Sorry for the delayed response, btw. My adhd sucks.
