Slenderman is a mythical being. He was made up by people on the internet, and has become very popular due to the likes of Marble Hornets (Youtube series) and online games based on him, notably one entitled 'Slender'.

His original M.O was kidnapping children, to do who knows what with, But now he's more of a 'I like that guy, Imma make him and his friends go mental' sort of entity.
