I am of the opinion that "biblically accurate" angels are based on the descriptions given of cherubim as described in vision, rather than actually in person, and are symbolic in their appearance. The "classic" angel appearance is based on post Platonic Christian theology.
In one of Paul's epistles, he describes a situation where members of the church were "entertaining angels unawares". That describes several Old Testament angel encounters as well.
I give it as my opinion that if you were to come across an angel, you would be able to speak with them as a regular person, and would have no idea that you are speaking with an angel, unless they reveal themselves.
