Val's still depressed over Miri and their kid despite having Lilith, and meanwhile his dead wife and child are always there just over his shoulder. She's not even upset. Mirianne's accepted that now his heart is mending with Lily, and doesn't blame or hate her at all... and she's happy the most that they love each-other.
