Any guess what might be causing the playback corruption?

My guess is something to do with the layers, or the transparency lock or maybe how the tools are used. idk frankly. My playbacks are very often corrupted but they are normal inside the picture itself, only sometime, like with this pic, both are too badly corrupted. Its sad because I can't click on a lot of my pics in my menu because it asks me if I want to delete the corrupted painting instead of allowing me to open it again.

I hate when I get this kind of corruption. Alas, it's been an issue as far back as the 3DS, so it's unlikely to ever be fixed... Very pretty art, regardless!

I haven't practiced using the layer mods yet, so I can't confirm, but yo could be right about that.
It might also be an issue with the system's internal RAM. If you put too much data on the RAM, say for example a long drawing session without frequent saving, the system would over-load the RAM with too much playback data, causing it to over-write or corrupt existing data before it has a chance to store it all to the system memory. I can't confirm, but I recommend saving every 30 mins.

On a side note, I'm going to do your request to draw Princess Celestia very soon. I got an idea recently that I think will not only suit my style, but do her some real justice. I'll work on finishing one or two other projects first, and keep you updated on progress when I get started.

And yea that's a good point, I remember going at least 2 hours not saving at points, usually I try to save each hour.
