I agree with @Meowy_a_Meowdracorn. Stupid would be to make a mistake and either never correct it, or straight up ignore correction.
A bright mind either accepts correction, or seeks it.
If it's any consolation, I, myself wasn't sure if Canadians celebrated Thanksgiving. I thought of it as a USA thing. I'm not as familiar with with Canadian customs and traditions, or how many are shared with our Northern and Southern neighbors.
