Powers such as Ice, are in the "Hidden Powers" or "Variants" category.
These powers need special situations to be awaked but all can be unlocked with a Variant Stone (rarely seen and VERY expensive)

The Variants are:

Dark: Invisibility (on anything) & Moving Inside Shadows

Bright: Teleportation & Movement Block

Sky: Electric & Wind magic

Water: Poison & Ice

Flame: Swim in Lava & Soul Fire (The souls of the dead can be seen if illuminated by it)

Nature: Healing & Energy Drain
