One thing you can do to water mark them here is to start by making a template with your water mark to start with. Then any time you want to make something new, make a copy of the template, and continue painting with the copy.
Unfortunately, the water mark doesn't really make it impossible for it to be stolen and sold, but it partially blocks the painting significantly reducing it's value on the market. Who would by art partially obstructed by a water mark? It's better than a signature though.
