so idk what happened but my switch almost cought on fire like i picked it up and immediate ouchie. like it mented(not fully) the charging cord... dude it was scary! like it genuinely burnt my hand. i actually have no idea what happened. i think the fans to cool it off are also broken but no way it Could have gotten that hot like when i woke up this morning it was fine and i didnt leave it turned on so idk what happened! like yea....

It soynds like there might be a battery problem. If this happens again, it's likely there was a malfuncion in the way it charges the batery. It may be a good idea to see if you can send it to Nintendo for repair. That would be cheaper than buying a new one.

@The_Adjudicator i dont exactly know when the fan stopped working but ik that it doesn't work now. also ik that for a few years theres always been issues with the battery and it charging. but now im just being extra cautious with it.
examples:
for a whole year it refused to charge and i had tried multiple different chargers and outlets
also for a few months my charger that came with the switch stopped working but it worked for my brothers switch and other things but now it works just fine
