In an alternate future where the Roboenza Virus mutated into a zombie plague that threatened humans and robots alike, a group of surviving Robot Masters, Repliods, and scientists work towards a cure whilst battling both Mavericks the Zombot hordes. Amongst these protecters is a lone warrior who fights for hope. That lone hero is the first Robot Master, DLN-000: Blues, A.K.A. Protoman.

I know, but with Rock missing, Bass staying at the lab to protect Roll and Dr. Cain, and X and Zero away on another mission, tonight will be a long night for Blues. (And yes before any confusion starts, this takes place in 21XX within an alternate timeline, and Dr. Light and Dr. Wily are both dead.)
