Abyss and Kaido explain to Grace how they know each other, it turns out the 2 were childhood friends, Kaido was a foster kid though, so after he was adopted, Abyss never saw him again until now. After telling their story, Abyss hugs Kaido tightly.

Kaido: A lot... (tears up)

Abyss: Same here bud. But um, the glowy circles, that's new.

Kaido: Yup, I'm half octopus now, (sarcastically) Yay...
