For me, I use the transparency lock and use the airbrush for the shading. I usually add the lighting last and I like using the brightness tool. I also set the brightness color as the same color as the bg. So for example, if my bg was yellow, I normally would add a light yellow as the lightning bc of the light reflecting from the yellow bg ! :sunflower: :sunny:
