Radiation AU by EmeraldGalaxy
So the AU I've been thinking of is the "Radiation AU".
The backstory behind it is that a villian sent a bomb to the location of the Freedom Fighters. Everyone got out safely, but those who got out much after others suffered the effects of radiation as days passed. And all of them were taken from their families to be experimented on.
