@Build-A-Bunny woah um!! that is a wildly different scenario. the actress couldn't choose her skin color. while i think they should've chosen an actress that looked more like the source material for her sake bc of the unnecessary backlash it caused that is entirely entirely different, they didn't change her race because it would make the character prettier, they casted her because she was a good Ariel

i totally understand that and the uncomfortably. i tend to draw sometimes non race characters poc but only if like... hmm how do i put it.. like my little pony?? or dont hug me im scared. and ill humanize them into a certain race. any race not just black. let me know if thats wrong or makes you uncomfortable because thats the last thing i want :)
