You don't need to be perfect. Hell, NO ONE. is, regardless of what people tell you. If you want perfection, just be yourself, cuz hon, that's as close as you'll be. If they don't like it then too bad.

Then take it one step at a time. Improve the small things like attitude... that's really all you can do. People will hate simply because they can. I know it's difficult but it's best not to take it to heart.

Oops, I deleted my comment after seeing more context to try to reapproptiate it. I still stand by what I said, but perhaps this would be more fitting.
There seems to be a loss of self-worth here. I'm not talking about arrogance or pride, but a quiet reassurance within yourself that everything will be okay. I've made mistakes in the past, and still do from time to time. So does everyone really. But as I've learned for myself, and I'm going to speak for myself here, the best way to mend and remedy a sour situation is to let go of these feelings of doubt, forgive myself, forgive those who hurt me, and ask to be forgiven by those I've hurt.
I can't force others to forgive me, but I can feel better knowing that I hold no resentment towards others. Maybe in time, bonds can be mended by showing a gentle hand.

Sadly, too many people are the victims of abuse, and it causes damage to the mind that is difficult, or in severe cases near impossible to heal. I don't want to overstep my bounds on this matter, as I have little to no experience with it. But one thing is certain, it would help a lot more to get aid from positive sources. Most online interactions have a layer of anonimity that makes it too easy to hide behind a vale of lies.

I don't know what kind of environment you live in, nor your personal upbringing, but everyone has four basic human needs: To live, To love and be loved, To feel importand, and Variety. And it is imperative that you find activities and interactions where the results will meet those needs over time.

Not professionally. But when I see others with poor self-esteem, who tend to talk down on themselves, I can't help but sympathize, because I've been there before.

I should also mention that I've taken notes from people who have studied psychology, and am working on applying what I learned from them to my own life.
