And she's actually a shorthair, but sheds horribly..

And she can hear pretty well for a... *thinks back* 11-12 year old cat, but we think her eyesight is going downhill.

I get that. We too have an 11 year old or so short hair, and she also sheds a lot.

I was asking because animals with lighter colored coats are more likely to be deaf or have hearing problems, especially if they have blue eyes.
(At least, that's something I've heard. Not completely sure how true it is)
