How to by ImmortalEyes
First and foremost you need to make an original tag for people to use.
The very 1st post should have all the info on it everyone needs to join:
-the tag
-the deadline
-the rules
-and prizes
Any post (reminder, changes) about the contest should have the contest tag on it, so people who joined will see it.
Now this is just a recommendation but the winners announcement post should at everyone that joined, not just the winners. That way everyone who joined can see who won and once--

If youre hosting for a DTIYS make it very clear how much contestees are allowed to change

also you can change how many winners you want, my base is 1st,2nd,3rd and then 2 runner ups, because i usually get a lot of entries, but you can always just change it to 1 winner and 1 runner up, 1st-3rd no runner up etc.
