Why else would Mario not have married Peach by now, it took him until Oddessey to even tell Peach that he had feelings, not that Peach couldn't tell, but when videogames are rated E they typically avoid that kind of chat since it's illegal to flirt with a Mario Kart mom & her 4 year old daughter or Tennis Aces playing online.
