Recently watched Nimona and omg I LOVED it, and I WILL rewatch it (I will also be postin some angst since I haven’t in a while)
(I’m going to drop some Ace lore if ya wanna read)

Ace has a terrible habit of leaving people he loves at the worst times, for his (found) family he left when he got severely injured and never said goodbye
Ace left Travis and X when Travis became king then when it was revealed that Loana killed Zane it caused Travis extreme paranoia and lots of other stuff
Ace never got to really see his old family again after he abandoned them, Travis and X never forgave Ace once he came back years later when they both moved on from him
Ace knows that this habit causes pain towards everyone around him
but he feels if he doesn’t leave first they will eventually get bored of him and abandon him like his blood family
