from the story, Melody when she was younger she didn't have her powers yet. i think boy Melody would be embarrassed to have pink hair (not that anything's wrong with boys having pink hair ofc) and when she's older her hair would grow lighter and she would've lost a bit of her ear during one of her adventures.
