i actually paid an extra 5 dollors for totk to try and prevent it from happening again...

I migt be a bit late with this suggestion, but when restarted my file intentionally, Ichallenged myself to a clean 'Heroes path' run. Meaning - no fast travel, and no deaths -
Turns out, It's totally possible to get out of any place without ever fast traveling. Evn at the start where Rauru tells you to fast travel back to the island high up, you can find alternative ways up if You're resourceful. Even the depths has multiple ways back out.
