After he was hit by the Chaos Virus, he hurt his younger brother with Ice Beam. It didn't do a lot of damage but Turquoise was worried it would happen again. That's when he decided to leave his family so that he could master his new powers. A few months later, Turquoise mastered his new powers so he went back to find his family to show them but they were not where they were before. His family had been taken by the Poke'chao Pinchers while he was gone. Turquoise searched the whole area for them and found out that he was the only one that had not been taken. He found a gadget that one of the Pinchers dropped. Realizing who took his family, Turquoise promised to find and rescue them at any cost.
