I have a question about contortion/acrobatics, can anyone do it (with training ofc) or does one have to be born with a physiological advantage that allows them to be extra flexible?

anyone can do it & i started later in life :)
so no, no physical advantage needed. im also very short and small, which is viewed as a disadvantage in other sports like dance
but i will warn contortionists are prone to serious issues later in life like arthritis and joint pain

i like the little trans rope that holds the hoop and ur oc!!

Thanks a lot! I've been into the performing arts since I was a kid, yet contortion was something I never tried :]
I'll have to look into some classes for it!

@raeleighs_worksh0p yeah! you might want to do flexibility classes or if youre a minor you could probably do gymnastics
theres a lot of yt tutorials but i caution using them because without proper equipment and a teacher its easy to get hurt :sob:

def take it slow. DO NOT try tricks right away build flexibility first. stretc stretch stretch lol

yoga helps. take it slow + patience is key. it took mamy years of me being in a circus to get where im at now

seal(mabey called cobra too idk?) downward dog, childs pose. (those are what come to mind)
when you do downward dog practice by walking in & out of it
seal pose work gradually towards getting your feet to touch your head
and childs pose is good for realising tension in the back ^.^

also backbends are good! you can get more flexibility by inching your hands closer to your feet/ankles
