(con) created what was essentially a coming out post on her account in response, simply stating she does NOT support trans people...and that, allegedly, it is HER choice as a, quote, 'free american' to have this opinion and not support trans people. She does not elaborate much further when asked, using circular logic as so people may follow her point--I've respectfully (/gen) asked for her reasoning on the post and I'm currently awaiting a response (of which I'll update this post once she does).

(con) Simpy put, while I completely understand her intentions behind the post, she's seemingly making almost a snyde remark against the trans community in makng the post itself rather than going about her day.

(con) I've stated before in my BYF in #DoveCage that I have no specific DNI requirements and diligently block anyone who makes me uncomfortable. Nonetheless, I will NOT block or DNI with Berry18 (yes, I have read her DNI), as she doesn't seem to be explicitly harming anyone in doing this. She's entitled to her opinion, that's okay. I'd only be disgusted if she was actively trying to hurt trans people (which, in my opinion, that post wasn't even intended to harm people like she thought).

(con) After all, I have done things such as that before years ago, and I completely understand. But it's disgusting behavior to even think that making a post like that will solve anything, especially if in that post you're essentially saying nothing except subtly forcing people to agree with your opinion.

(con) Also, I'd like people to keep in mind that not all people who don't support trans folk are BAD PEOPLE. In fact, some of them are good people. I should know: my parents don't support, and I couldn't ask for better parents! /gen That being said, I don't support that behavior, at all. /srs I think that not supporting trans people is...essentially not supporting a random group just because. It's baffling to me to NOT support. But that doesn't mean I'm abandoning everyone who 'doesn't support'.

TL;DR - Berry18 isn't necessarily a bad person, keep that in mind. Nonetheless, I do not accept tr44nsph00bia or related prejudice on this profile to ANYONE. If you just don't support and that's final (i.e,, you don't force your opinions, bully, or discreetly make 'jokes' about trans folks) , fine. But if you hurt anyone, you're out of line. Hell, you're already hurting people discreetly because of the fact you even don't support.
