I found this trope on TikTok where the villain makes the hero choose between the city or their loved ones, always choosing the city in the end. As an edgy teenager, I would pick the bad boys to be different, but as I grew up and got in some uhhhhhh not so good relationships, to me a relationship with a villain would be healthier because they wouldn't want the ones they care about go through the trauma that they went through.
