In Texas, I believe you have to be 26+ to get top surgery, or even take testosterone.

also this story is set in like 2090 i think??? (my memory skills >>>>/s) and gender affirming surgeries are a lot more easily reversible and people are more open-minded towards lgbt stuff and they're more likely to listen to their children about their bodily autonomy

@CatPNG no ones r/cist s/xist h/m/phobic etc so they like to pretend they don't discriminate in any way but they tend to be classist with their like powers. most of them pity those without gifts and micah for example sees those without gifts as lesser. zenkou (and some other unintroduced characters) are the only ones who see issue with that (and ungifted ppl obv)

everyone is still very well taken care of but those with strong gifts have better lives

micah and marisol's house is huge for example and their dad worked closely with the government bc their mom was a celebrity due to her singing gift
