-Clearing up the reference-
In Minish Cap, when you fight Vaati his first form is a towering warlock with an eye in his chest called "Vaati Reborn." He can only be beaten by slashing the eyeball lazers surrounding him (in the later stages you need the Gust Jar to suck of smoke) until they disappear and his chest eye opens. He'll teleport around a bit and when he stops you have to slash him in the eye until he's defeated and moves on to the other phases.
