I've never really left the East Coast, but I did part of the Appalachian trail in Pennsylvania

im not a big fan of hiking in my home state

This year (or next) my family wants to do the Mount Fuji hike too!

I used to live in the South, let me tell you I never went outside there, it's so hot and buggy
I think it's nicer in the Northeastern states 100%, it's definitely cooler and less bugs

Yes, I moved back to the states from Japan in 2010 though, and recently moved again
I hear that one was the reason why they cracked down on alarm system/evacuation notices :(

It still scares us when there's a big shake, but I dont think we'll be hit with waves since we're inland

When I was living in Okinawa (island) we didn't feel a lot of quakes
The rain is bad here though! We just hit rainy season so it's all rain, all day, all week :]

I think monsoon is more in China than Japan, not to sure but there's a slight difference
