Hi ^w^ my friend @Kpopluver wants to learn how to draw anime can you give her tips pls?

hey @-_Mrs_Ohara_-! hru my friend? yeah i can definitely give some tips! i can also try to male a post abt it if you like! now lets see...

1. never be afraid to study others art styles! the more videos you watch and books you read the more you'll get a good feel for what art style you want to focus on. your style will evolve from that :)

2. i recommended starting with faces and heads, then move to bodies ect.

3. always try to do a rough sketch before you draw the actual character. it can help you get a feel for what you want and help you invision it. studying real anatomy is also a great way to learn muscle structure and bone placement.

4. hair and eyes are both really big parts of anime, as they can completely change the vibe of the entire character. when drawing eyes ive tried alot of different techniques but so far for female characters i perfer having the eyeball connect on the upper and lower eyelid and for male characters i usually just have it connect to the upper eyelid. when it comes to coloring in the eyes always start with a dark shade at the top and fade it out around the pupil as you move down

hair is also really difficult to learn, at least for me, so i recommended deciding if theres wind blowing in the picture or not and if so what direction? then make most of the hair strands follow that direction. it can give life to the picture imo

5. i think something that really transformed my art was coloring/shading. i highly encourage practicing it. im still learning the color theory so i recommend they look into that to help decide what to use to shade, but currently i just use a darker color of the original color im shading. when you color a picture it really makes it pop but its the shading that brings it to life. shade things like folds in clothing, crimps in skin, under the jaw onto the neck a bit ect.

also shade hair and ive found that only shading underneath the strands on the face really adds life. try to imagine the scene the characters in as well to help with the shading.
6. and most important, never get discouraged! its going to take alot of trial and error to find what you really lie drawing in anime and what ur style will be, at least for me it did. and never forget theres always room to improve. even when your happy with your art dont just stop, keep going because your getting btr

every piece you draw! :blush: and only draw what you want to, dont ever draw smth you dislike or dont find joy in because it ruins the fun and your feelings will end up going into the artwork.
