Legend has it that a young blacksmith's apprentice fell in love with a beautiful maiden from a noble family.
Their love burned so intensely that the young man wished to symbolize his desire to spend the rest of his days by her side. To do so, he forged a brass pocket watch with his own hands—a timepiece with a delicate pink hue. He gifted it to his beloved so that she would know that his time belonged only to her.
But word of this love reached the ears of a villager, the very one who supplied the blacksmith’s workshop with metals. This man had once harbored unrequited feelings for the maiden, and jealousy consumed him upon seeing her happiness with another.
Driven by spite and rage, he decided that if he could not be happy, neither should they.
Determined to curse their love, he took a coin and poured into it all the bitterness, hatred, and malice festering in his heart. The coin, now tainted with an aura of death, was thrown into the forge, merging with the copper and zinc that would form the precious brass—an alloy meant to embody love, now poisoned by resentment.
Unaware of the curse, the apprentice worked with delicate precision, shaping the watch with soft hammer blows. When it was finally complete, he presented the gift to his beloved, his eyes shining with devotion.

However, only days after receiving the watch, the maiden fell gravely ill. Each passing day, she grew weaker, as if the very life was being drained from her.
Knowing their time together was slipping away, the couple made a solemn vow: they would spend every evening watching the sun set from a rocky cliff overlooking the sea, holding each other close, until the day the last sunset arrived.
One fateful evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon, the maiden—like a dying ember—breathed her last in the apprentice’s arms.
Through his grief-stricken tears, he picked up the watch she had treasured until her final breath.
Fixing his anguished gaze on the hands of the clock, he realized the cruel truth—every second it marked would be time he would have to endure alone.
Unable to bear the thought of a life without her, the apprentice made his choice. Clutching the cursed pocket watch, he cast himself into the sea, vanishing into the depths where love and sorrow became one.
According to legend, the watch now holds the souls of eternal lovers, bound together forever. But as it is cursed, whoever possesses the old pocket watch is doomed to share their tragic fate.
