@Owl_In_The_Sky Lots of practice! No kidding--the older eyes I drew (looking back to only June of last year) where nothing like this. But overall I consider the anatomy of the eye and how it may be altered to make crazy creations like this (this eye is based on a character, though--Ai Hoshino from Oshi No Ko, unique eyes throughout the whole series). I learned the anatomy on my own time and saw how it worked in relationship to the face, and built up from there.
