(Emerald sees Abyss starting to cry again so she puts her uninjured wing around him, holds his hand, and leans her head on his shoulder)

Emerald: (softly) Look, I know it's been pretty rough, but it'll be ok, I'm always here. I'll never leave you, I'll always have your back, and I'll try my hardest to make sure nothing happens to you.

Abyss: (voice breaking) I..you...really?
