It is.... the most effective horror game I've ever played. Not, "the scary monster is going to jump out and eat me" but "I do -not- want to know what happens next." I am someone who would let a 7 year old little girl play Resident Evil 7 VR and laugh when she screamed. I would NOT let her play DDLC nor would I recommend it to a depressed adult of any age.
