"What happened," Amethyst asked, taking the hand that Misty had so politely raised in front of Amethyst.
"We fell through the twisty-purple-thingy," Misty told Amethyst, pulling her up. Amethyst looked around. It looked like grass all around them, with a road a bit away. "You mean a portal," she told Misty, brushing off the bits of grass on her outfit.
"Yes, a portal," Misty said. "And then I woke up- just a bit ago." She smiled. "I started heading over to the road to get help, but then I saw you.
"Let's continue going there," Amethyst told Misty, raising her head confidently. "And maybe one of the vechicles will stop and help us."
Amethyst started striding toward the road, Misty trailing behind as she trudged through the grass, and the birds shreiking above. As soon as Misty explained why they were here, Amethyst knew that things would be weird.

Misty ran toward the road, a grin on her face, Amethyst still in front of her..
"Misty, hurry up," Amethyst called. "I see someone! Blond hair, short, probably a boy."
"How old," Misty asked suspicously. "Could he kidnap us?"
"I don't think he would do that," Amethyst told her as Misty was just a few steps away. "He looks around our age."
The blond-haired boy must have heard them, because he turned in their direction.
"Are you talking about me," he asked. "Well, I'm James. Welcome to Lilac Town."
"Lilac Town," Misty whispered to Amethyst. Amethyst's eyes sparkled, and Misty assumed he was thinking the same thing: That wasn;t on any of their maps.
"Yep," James said. "A bit away from here. I live on Purple Farm. Man, you;ve got to see the horses!"
Misty frowned. "Boy- James, whatever your name is- We have no time for this, Where is Inkopolis?"
James raised one of his eyebrows. Misty couldn't help it but be amazed that he could do that. "There ain't no Inkopolis around here. I'm sorry, but I cannot help you. And either way, I need to be home by 4:00."
Amethyst slyly grinned. "We will come with you," he said, and then he whispered to Misty, "And find out some more imformation."

James lead Amethyst and Misty to Purple Farm, occasionally mumbling, "Strange People" or something like that. All he could think about was them, Amethyst assumed, and she looked over at Misty. He knew it in Misty's eyes that she was confused about James too.
James eventually cleared his throat and announced, "Purple Farm!", with his arms spread out wide and a confused smile sprawled on his face.
Amethyst almost laughed out loud. Purple Farm? Here? They were in front of a broken down shed. How could horses live in that broken thing?
"I know what you're thinking," James said, lowering his head and slightly frowning, "But the horses love it! Come look inside!" He waves his hand toward the door and lead them inside.
Amethyst really was surprised. How did all the horses fit in the shed? Everything was shiny and neat, the walls smooth, even a lounging area in the back, When Amethyst looked at Misty, Misty's eyes were wide and surprised.
"Surprised, I know," James said. "You see, I need to tell you something. Do you know where you are? No, I know that. So how come you speak of this so called 'Inkopolis'? That, I also know the answer to." He pointed to the lounging area in the back. "Let me tell you my answers."

James started talking as soon as they sat down.
"I can read peoples' minds," he started off with, which was was too much for Misty, "What," she said, almost shouting, looking at James with her suspicous look. James nodded. He brushed his blond hair over his ear. "You see, we are in the World of Magic. Anything is possible."
"So I can sprout horns," Amethyst joked, not beleiving what James had said. But James simply nodded and snapped his fingers, and Amethyst's ears suddenly start growing and becoming harder, pointier at the end. "Horns," he screamed. "Take them away?"
James nodded and snapped his fingers once again, and Amethyst's ears became smaller.
Misty frowned. That was enough for her. She stood up and pulled Amethyst toward the doors. "That's enough," Misty said. "James is too suspicous."
"Wait," James shouted. "I can help you back to Inkopolis!"
That caught Misty and Amethyst's attention. "Really," Amethyst said. "Then prove it. Tell me your plan."
