Toccata by -Vero-

An ancient drawing of mine that I (think I) did back in 2015.
I'm not sure.

Original was drawn in a school book, so I traced it and colored it in Colors.

I agree. Redrawing older art is fun. It's also shows the improvements we make!

so exiting!! oh, also.. i just gotta know. sooooooo:
someone spots you drawing, and.. ugh, checks it out... then they say something like:
'' oh wow! your so talented! i can't even draw a stick figure! wish i could do that!''
bc i feel like this is a trap.. there's no right answer, you could tell then it takes practice but they always seem so frustrated,
but you can't just tell them something like: well, some people are just born gifted.. BUT that's no true!! it's not like artists on colors are

just born so very gifted!
sooo.. with that out of the way, i've been asking ppl how they usually react.. bc ya girl gotta be in the know.. anyway, if you don't wanna be apart of my observation for understanding don't feel pressured to answer, uh but, maybe delete it if your not gonna answer

This has happened to me more times than I care to remember...! I find it very frustrating as well.

I do usually do my best to remind them that everyone starts out by drawing stick figures, and that nobody is born skilled. This "talent" is something we have worked for over the course of years.

Probably the best thing to do is to ask them questions, like why they feel that way, or how much time they spend on it.

This gets them to think and reflect on themselves, so in can actually

be a beneficial conversation, which might actually get them to under what they need to do if they want to draw better.

ah yes, good answer!!! ya i ask them questions some times depending on the way they ask, if they just seem to be amazed i usually just thank them..
but if they seem discourage than it's always safe to let them know that everyone learns differently, if they then get frustrated -which they usually do-, i let them know something:

''well, it's not a matter of IF you can/will, but WHEN you DO, after all, the real talent is staying dedicated to the art''
