I wonder how mech legs compare to tank treads? Are they more mobile? Easier to handle? How durable are they?

This is why they're always belong to "sci-fi", they looks better only on visual for fantasy/fictional purpose, but irl nowadays design is the most efficient and logical.
But i think it's not 100% impossible when the science is advancing enaough, like finding new energy sources and materials.
