they don't have an actual name but their place-holder is one of my names [William]. I could write some lore for that... maybe dipper mistook them for bill [which did happen] and mabel gave them the name "william" [shortened to will]

[cont-] because of their species, they don't require clothes, but the pines give them clothes anyway [which they're fine with. they love dressing up]
they eventually learn of bill [takes a bit to get the details from the pines] and laugh at how dipper thought they were some evil triangle. [they look like him as a coincidence in-universe. outside, i took inspo from bill. shhh.]
they know how to use the weirdness as gravity falls to make stuff float [or float themself] but it takes effort.
they can do other things like start fires but they prefer the floating. and if they do use fire, they do it outside the shack [unless needed inside] to not burn anything.
they're unable to make those magic deals bill can do or enter dreams. they're not bill.
