said vent post and not even bothering to try and comfort them or clear up/help a situation DOES NOT DO ANYTHING. AND CAN MAKE IT WORSE. PLEASE DON'T AND STOP DOING THAT! It's understandable if there's a long discussion and liking it to come back in case of the notifications acting up is okay with most people but PLEASE don't do that....
I've vented before and had 3 or so likes and nobody trying to help for about an hour, and I vent RARELY, so yes, it does hurt. Sometimes it shows you just care about the art and not the artist (/na), and it hurts guys. Again, saying nothing is okay, but don't be like that. It just hurts people.

And I bring this up because some people put up vent rules. You shouldn't have to. Making it about yourself, venting on their posts or being like "same" or "I feel ya" with NO RELATION can be EXTREMELY rude and not to mention damaging to their mental health. It's basic fact.

@_Coffee_ Personally, I feel hurt, so it's basically just saying "Nah ur art is where its at idc." There COULD BE PEOPLE that have nothing to say, but it's STILL rude as h$ll and needs to stop

i had a vent account and i spoke my real feelings on there and only got like on many posts and no comments

i deleted that account though because i soon got uncomfortable speaking about personal things and having people know about them

@angel_zupremacy @_The_Loser_ Glad you guys agree... this needs to stop. It just hurts the artist and makes the liker look rude or uncaring, and nobody should need to post vent rules either, because venting on vents and things like that shouldnt have to be said. It's a basic human fact that everyone should know.

Personally I'd prefer likes over nothing at all. It feels like being ignored when there's no interaction with my post. But that's also my preference because I'm an adult. I don't vent much here anymore since I don't think a bunch of kids should have to listen or feel obligated to make me feel better :skull:
Also I think some people don't comment or offer comfort because I often see vents specifically asking people not to comment and they get hurt and upset when people do so. Others might feel too nervous to say anything because of that or they might not feel close enough.
Anyway this was just to add my perspective to things like this, I hope thats ok. It might be helpful to let people know its ok to comment during a vent, but I know that isn't much of a focus while being upset.

Nothing at all is a lot worse, true. And it's still a jerk thing. Colors is a drawing app, but for a lot of people (including myself) it's a place to get away from stress, and a number of times people just get worse from either likes or nothing, and I understand nervousness, even avoiding is okay. I've done it a lot especially if I'm not involved. But yes, valid points!

Colors is a place where a lot of people try to get away from things bothering them, regardless of Colors' purpose.

it still just adds to much drama to this community if you need to talk to someone about something you should talk to your parents, the suside hot line, a 24/7 therapy service, or the domestic help hotline you should not bring your drama here

Some people don't even have parents that'll support or accept them, or listen, nor does everyone have therapy, causing a lot of people to vent BECAUSE of their parents.
