This is Oval's great grandfather, Robin Riverfletch, aka Dixon's twin brother. He got major depression and trauma from his brother and the vampire cult, leading to him becoming pretty anti-social and paranoid. He only really cared about his wife and children, everybody else was seen as a stranger, or an enemy.
